Ideas for Use:
1) Classroom display
2) For mathematical reasoning – use the imagery and the write on/wipe off nature of this grid to explore number and calculation. For example, 35 + 9 could be visualised as 35 add 10, subtract 1, with accompanying notation.
3) For chopping up! These posters make a great set of 120 number cards. The grids could be split into strips, enabling a number line to be created. The grid could also be cut into jigsaw pieces for mathematical reasoning about number.
4) For games – using counters and dice (e.g. roll a tens and a ones dice. Place a counter on either that number or its bond to 100. First team to make 4 in a row wins this complements game)
