These chocolate bar sizes have been chosen because of the number of factors.
Preparation:
1: Print, laminate and cut into individual cards
2: Print and cut out into strips for use in display.
Ideas for Use:
Children are given a sheet of chocolate bars.
Option 1: Fractions of a Quantity
One child colours in a different number of chunks on each chocolate bar. A second child has to work out the fraction of the quantity coloured in.
Option 2: Multiplying Fractions
Children are given the challenge of representing the multiplication of two fractions. E.g. Using the 24 chunk bar, children might represent 1/6th x 3/4.
