Preparation Options:
1: Print and cut into individual cards
2: Print and cut out each page in half, creating Number Cards that include all 7 representations
Ideas for Use: Use these cards for reasoning, ordering and matching games, e.g.:
1: Reasoning about the properties of a number – what does each image show us about the represented number?
2: Connection making – what’s the same, what’s different?
3: Turn over 4 cards – which is the ‘Odd One Out’ and why?
4: Print and use as part of your mathematics working wall.
5. Number Card Trading – carefully choose the cards you want the children to trade. Challenge your children to… add 10 more, round to the nearest 10 etc.
